Selection processes
Masters Degree in Public Health
The program admits prospective masters and doctoral degree candidates twice a year in the first and second semesters, with accepted students starting in March and August. Usually, the selection process includes an exam on topics related to public health, the analysis of the candidates curriculum vitae, certification of English proficiency and an interview. Further information on admission requirements, bibliography for the written exam, application and exam dates and other updates will be published semi-annually on this website.
Doctoral Degree in Public Health
The program admits prospective doctoral degree candidates twice a year during the first and second semesters, with accepted students starting in March and August. Usually, the selection process includes the analysis of the candidates curriculum vitae as a condition to move on to the next phase; an exam on topics related to public health (bibliography will be published on this website), an interview for the presentation of research proposal and certification in English proficiency. Pós-doutorado
The research groups and centers linked to the Postgraduate Program in Public Health offer a postdoctoral program to doctorate degree holders. Admission may occur with or without a scholarship. Further information about requirements and grants may be obtained by email.
Special student
Special Students are master´s and doctoral prospective candidates who have not been admitted to a degree program but who are taking degree-credit courses in order to qualify for future admissions, to improve professional qualifications, to transfer credits, or for personal interest in the area of study. The selection of special students includes a topic specific exam. Exceptionally, Special students may be admitted as regular masters or doctoral students if they maintain a satisfactory academic standing, as assessed by the program selection committee.
